The location was great. However, the staff (particularly the owners) were not so friendly or helpful. We started in a balcony city view and upgraded to the mountain view (which was better). The wifi was ok, water warm enough - pressure not great. A bit run down and minimal in decor. We asked for room service after the second night it never happened. We brought our own garbage down and asked for more single use soaps... as needed. Was ok - Id look around for better

Domon hotel is an older hotel, & could do with some tlc, but because of the warm welcoming & helpful young man on front desk this was easy to overlook. He was eager to please & on arrival asked us if we wanted a larger room as hotel was going through a quiet time. He also greeted us every day & asked if we needed anything. He booked transfer to train station on departure, (60,000 kip) which was cheaper than Loca (72,000 kip). Hotel has 3 floors, there are no lifts. No breakfast option, but many eateries within short walk. Safety storage available at cafe nextdoor for no fee. We used this when we did a day out tubing. Balcony room was great, wonderful view of mountains, hot air balloons, paramotors etc. Shower good plenty of hot water, pressure ok. Downside... beds hard & pillows lumpy. Bathroom floor got very wet, bidet spray leaked. Thought there was a large plasma tv as pictured on website, but it was a large piece of brown painted wood, with a tv remote sitting in front! Would prefer not to be deceived. In room 308, door needs repair as cracks along width of door are plugged with tissues.

J’ai réservé une chambre Deluxe dans un hôtel qui annonçait balcon ou patio et je me suis retrouvée au rez-de-chaussée sans ouverture. La vitre derrière le rideau donnait sur un cagibi dépotoir, sorte d’arrière cuisine qui sentait le poisson. Je m’en suis plainte à l’hôtelier qui m’a dit que j’aurais dû Réserver celles avec balcon mais aucune mention de cela sur hôtels.com. J’ai demandé à être surclassée en payant mais l’hôtel était complet et tout ce que l’on m’a proposé c’est d’aller voir ailleurs, aide pour cela refusée. La porte de ma chambre jouxtait la réception et la cage d’escalier et donnait directement sur une grande salle terrasse ouverte à tous et il y a eu un vacarme dû à une fête jusqu’à près d’une heure du matin. Le très jeune agent de nuit est intervenu en vain, moi de même. La rivière annoncée n’est pas la rivière principale mais un ru d’eaux stagnantes. L’hôtel ne repond pas aux messages laissés sur lz messagerie Hotels.com. Points positifs : bien placé au centre, belle vue depuis la terrasse commune, thé, café à toute heure, bananes. On a pu m’appeler un tulipes tulipes pour repartir. commune, stagnantes.
