Our vacation apartments are located not far from Lake Maggiore in Italy, 11 km from Cannobio and the lake in the Cannobina Valley. Wildly romantic—Italian, Mediterranean, and Alpine all at once—located just across the border from the Swiss canton of Ticino. Locarno, Ascona, and Milan are all within easy reach. Our cozy houses, with a sunny south-facing orientation and magnificent mountain views, are car-free and situated along an ancient stone path at an elevation of 700 meters. You can reach our houses on foot in about 15 minutes from the parking lot in Falmenta. Please bring backpacks, not suitcases! Far from mass tourism, this is a place where gentle tourism and sustainable travel are possible.

In addition to many hikes that start right from your doorstep—so to speak—the house invites you to linger, take in the views, enjoy yourself, and relax. Our village of Falmenta–Durone is many hundreds of years old and characterized by old stone houses, palm trees, chestnut trees, and fig trees. The Val Grande, the largest nature reserve in the Alps, is also accessible by hike from here.
