Two of the bedrooms feature their own living areas and all four bedrooms have an en suite bath or shower and WC. The Mediterranean’s golden beaches, Cathar castles and world-renowned wine country are all within reach for wonderful days out.


A short stroll takes you to the heart of Montlaur, where you’ll find the much-loved Vins de Dagne restaurant (book ahead), a tapas/pizzeria and a café-bar. The village also offers a general store (with a larger supermarket 9.5km away in Capendu) and a weekly market brimming with fresh produce, artisan goods and local wine or craft beer in the summer months. For those seeking active pursuits, there’s horse riding nearby and a traditional boules court – perfect for relaxing afternoons with friends.


Within 25 minutes lies Lagrasse (15km), officially one of Les Plus Beaux Villages de France, boasting cobbled streets, a magnificent abbey and exceptional dining options.
