Beautiful Hotel but short staffed

This is a gorgeous old building. The hotel itself is great. It seemed like they were very short staffed, especially in the restaurant where one person was both cooking and waiting tables. Also there is no free wifi, even for guests.

This is a beautiful old style hotel! The renovations that were done were exquisite and we enjoyed our stay very much we booked a corner room which was very spacious with great amenities..we liked the easy parkng and accessibility. Do not hesitate to book a stay at this “back in time “ gem!!!

A fellow at a nearby bar told us that The Doubletree used to be the Hotel Utica and was one of the first hotels in the city. It has great original architecture and features! They’ve definitely done a great job of keeping the original feel with modern amenities. I will definitely stay here again.

Disappointing

Only way to describe our stay was disappointing. We stayed 3 nights and we were out of the room all day. We requested housekeeping both days, once from the front desk. That didn’t happen and since that didn’t work we requested cleaning directly from a housekeeper the next. Nothing. After a long day all you want to do is take a nice shower and go to sleep in a made bed. I had to go to the front desk and request clean towels. If you are planning to stay here I would recommend a to revise your plan and stay somewhere else.
