Welcome to scenic, lake-rich Småland. Unnaryd is located directly on Lake Unnen, a beautiful and fish-rich lake situated between Halland and Kronoberg counties. The region is a paradise for nature lovers—here you can hike, cycle, paddle, fish, or simply relax in numerous nature reserves. Many historic places in Southern Sweden are easily accessible for day trips, such as the former royal city of Kalmar, Gothenburg, Varberg, and other destinations including Astrid Lindgren’s World in Vimmerby or the Husqvarna Museum in Jönköping.
Location & Accessibility
The property is situated on the edge of the village. The local swimming spot is just an 6-minute walk away, and the nearest supermarket can be reached within 5 minutes on foot. Parking is available directly at the house. Arrival by public transport is also possible, as Unnaryd is connected to the local public transport network.
Interior & Amenities
Thanks to a heat pump with central water heating, the house is suitable for year-round stays. It features three bedrooms and comfortably accommodates up to 4 adults and 2 children, or 5 adults:
Ground Floor: One bedroom with a double bed (1.60 m / 63 in). Full bathroom with a walk-in shower and WC. (Note: access to the house is not barrier-free / wheelchair accessible).
Upper Floor: Two additional bedrooms—one with two single beds (90 cm / 35 in each) and one with a small double bed (1.20 m / 47 in). Additional guest WC.
A fully equipped, cozy, and bright kitchen featuring an electric stove with oven, refrigerator, kettle, coffee machine, and microwave invites you to try your hand at Swedish cooking. (Please note: there is no dishwasher).
In the spacious living and dining room, up to 6 guests have plenty of room for cozy hours indoors on rainy days. Thanks to the covered, glass-enclosed veranda, sunny hours can be enjoyed even during cooler temperatures in spring or autumn. Around the house, children have plenty of space to play in the (unfenced) garden, which includes a playhouse.
Rental Conditions, House Rules & Additional Fees
Towels, kitchen towels, and toilet paper are provided. Bed linen can be rented for 5 € per person. The washing machine and vacuum cleaner can be used free of charge.
A security deposit of 2000 SEK (kr) in cash as well as a valid ID document must be provided upon arrival. 100 kWh of electricity per week is included in the rental price. Any consumption beyond this will be charged at 4 SEK (kr) per kWh (approx. 0.36 €) and deducted from the deposit.
Charging electric vehicles on the property or via the house’s electrical grid is strictly prohibited. As the building dates back to 1890, the wiring is not designed for this load and poses a significant fire hazard. Public charging stations are available 300 meters away at the local supermarket.
The property features a 5G Wi-Fi router. Guests must bring their own data SIM card or purchase one at a local store (passport required).
Dogs are welcome, but they are not allowed to sleep on beds or be left unattended inside the house. If traveling with dogs or children, upholstered furniture must be covered with the provided day blankets.
Washing dogs or shoes in the kitchen or bathroom is not permitted.
Gutting or cleaning fish in the kitchen or bathrooms is strictly forbidden.
