Paid Too Much to Feel unwelcome
We stayed for 3 nights as a family of 4 during our summer holiday, with children aged 2 and 11.
From arrival, we were warmly welcomed by a friendly receptionist who showed us to our room. The room was spacious, comfortable, and had a truly wonderful view.
We have travelled extensively in Tyrol and have always appreciated the region’s famous hospitality. Unfortunately, our experience here did not fully meet those expectations. During our stay, the room was only cleaned once, wooden splinters in the terrace floor meant we had to remove four splinters from our Childs feet.
Dinner served at 19:00 with no flexibility for families w younger children. The dining experience felt formal and not particularly adapted to children. The atmosphere was also affected by a waitress in a supervisory role who appeared stressed, was often loud, and at times communicated in a way that felt unsuitable for a host position. We would, however, like to highlight that some of the international serving staff were genuinely kind, friendly, and helpful.
On final evening, despite having half board, we eat at a nearby pizzeria instead as the dinner timing /atmosphere did not feel right.
The hotel’s surroundings are beautiful, and the walk around the lake wonderful.
The hotel mainly caters to +60 years
Considering price, service and overall experience we would rate our stay 2/5 stars. families may find a more cosy and welcoming place elsewhere in Tyrol at better value
