Staying in downtown Ubud seemed too loud and crowded. Calma offered the ability to feel like you are in a more remote area, yet still close to town. We stayed at the new villas across from the property which were tastefully decorated and had a vibe like being in Spain. Loved the private pool and the breakfast offered in the morning is amazing! I would definitely stay here again!

The staff are friendly and very helpful We stayed in the new ‘annex’ Casa Veranda across the street. Very nice large room, huge bathroom and private pool. In the courtyard which was decorated with a Moroccan themed, we were served breakfast which were fabulous ( although a little slow as they seemed a bit shorthanded) Every dish was prepared fresh, and with eggs, fresh fruit and açai bowls, fresh juices and espresso coffee, we departed with a full belly for the days excursions. We also popped across the street for evening cocktails overlooking the pool and my wife and daughter enjoyed massages in the spa. Highly recommend and when we return to Unud we will plan to stay at Calma / Casa Veranda again.

Lovely place however beds are extremely hard and small in the twin rooms. Some rooms are more noisy due to air con unit being on outside bedroom walls. Staff happy to accommodate when I asked for a change but to change a room I had to pay for extra as I ordered another / room and my friend stayed in the initial room. Food was lovely, not to far to the city for a cheap grab ride

The property is beautiful, and every detail was well thought out. It is outside of the main Ubud area and quiet around it, and they offer a shuttle to the downtown area. Soraya, the owner, is very pleasant. The staff will go the extra mile to help us and make us comfortable. Amazing place!

Calma Ubud is highly recommended!! We stayed 5 nights and loved it! Our 2 bedroom ‘Villa’ was beautiful and quiet. The hotel is 5 minutes drive from the Center but it’s worth it! Mostly, it’s the staff that is so wonderful and helpful!!

This place is a VERY cute (I believe they only have 10 rooms and one villa) hotel. Pool overlooks a small but beautiful rice field. Staff is excellent - attentive, hospitable, helpful, and professional. Their onsite restaurant is also excellent which I love- everything I ate there was so good and reasonably priced. They also have free breakfast all cooked to order. Just be careful of mosquitos (although they attack all over Bali!) I definitely would stay here again if I return to Ubud!

Wonderful villa-style hotel uphill from the crazier high-traffic areas in Ubud. Breakfasts were about the best I've had at a Bali hotel. Don't miss the included tea-time every afternoon, loved the banana pancakes!

Great, calm & lovely place

Great, calm & lovely place. Quite a bit out, from Ubud centre, which was what we were looking out for…cabs & motos will bring you to the centre at low cost & fairly fast… Try to get a room not directly neighbouring the café/common area if you’d like to sleep in.
