Walk or cycle along the dyke towards Harlingen, with a view of the Wadden Sea on one side and a view of a vast hilly landscape with authentic farms on the other. Harlingen is a picturesque harbour town where you can enjoy a day at the beach, go shopping and visit the town hall, the lighthouse and the Zuiderhaven marina. From Harlingen you can take the ferry to the islands of Terschelling and Vlieland. Visit the historic centre and the planetarium in Franeker.
