The main reason I didn’t give this hotel 5 stars was the breakfast. It was small & mediocre at best. My go to is fruit when that happens and there were only apples and the apple I took tasted old & was bruised. The staff were very friendly and helpful. If you are looking for a clean & friendly no frills hotel this is one for you!

The entire stay at Comfort Inn & Suites Downtown Near University was amazing. Affordable prices, courteous Staff, spacious rooms, complimentary breakfast, refreshment and snack centers, cleanliness, quiet, located near The University of Alabama, downtown, restaurants, etc. No disappointments during our stay there. Will definitely book this stay again. I rate our stay 5 + Stars
My Grandchildren were excitedly lounging in the lobby enjoying the hotel snacks and Al, (the Alabama Mascot).

Great location. Close to the restaurants, and then a quick drive to campus. We arrived around 10 pm and the lot and area was very well lit, and there was a security guard present at the main door. Traveling as a female with teen girls, I felt very safe! Hotel is new, was clean and spacious. Breakfast a great bonus! An overall great stay for the price!!
