The apartment was very nice, clearly, at some point in history.
Unfortunately a few things really tarnished our experience of it.
First thing you notice is excessive noise from the street below: there is a pub that closes at 1am every day, and the balcony doors in the bedroom don’t offer anywhere near sufficient sound proofing - we were involved in conversations happening in the street while trying to fall asleep in the bed, around 1:30am on Monday. Suggestion is to install thick sound deadening curtains (there aren’t any currently) and leave ear plugs for guests who need them.
Next day I was looking forward to getting some work done, but the wifi download speeds were under 0.1mbps. I had to use my mobile hotspot. Get a better provider.
A major reason we rented this apartment was the washer+dryer combo: these aren’t cleaned properly, the washing machine rubber gasket is smelly and black from the mold that’s growing on it. The dryer filter had lint in it from previous users.
A chair outside is nearly broken, so test them before sitting. Some kitchen drawers don’t stay closed.
Overall, honestly quite a comfortable and pleasant apartment, furnished thoughtfully, but managed by the property company with absolute disinterest & lack of care.
All these issues were reported to the property management company, who are prompt to respond, but showed no interest in trying to resolve or compensate for the issues we were having during our stay.
