• Guest Bedrooms: Two bedrooms with queen and king beds, Smart TVs, storage, and patio access. They share a bathroom with a walk-in shower and double vanity.
• Bunk Room: Two bunk beds accommodating 4 guests, plus a desk, hangout area, patio access, and ensuite bathroom with walk-in shower and double vanity.
• Office: Main-level office with desk and forest views. Queen sleeper sofa provides additional sleeping space.
Entertainment Lounge
The lower-level entertainment lounge includes a poker table, wet bar, microwave, wine refrigerator, Smart TV, and sectional seating.
Outdoor Spaces
Outdoor amenities include a private hot tub, fire pit, grill, and multiple patios with dining and lounge areas. Outdoor furniture and grills may not be available from November through May.
Location
Located in Schaffer’s Mill in Truckee, approximately 10 minutes from Northstar California Resort and 20 minutes from Lake Tahoe. The home also provides access to Historic Downtown Truckee, Tahoe National Forest, hiking and biking trails, and other Truckee-Tahoe recreation. Drive times may vary based on traffic and weather.
Good to Know
• Maximum Occupancy: 12
• Parking: Up to 3 cars allowed. There is a 1-car garage as well as additional parking in the driveway. During snowfall, street parking is prohibited due to snow removal. All vehicles must be parked off the street promptly so snowplows can operate safely.
• Outdoor Furniture and Grills: May not be available from November through May.
• Winter Travel: 4WD/AWD vehicles with snow tires or chains are required.
• Quiet Hours: 9:00 PM–7:00 AM, in accordance with Placer County regulations.
• Full Terms and Conditions: Provided upon booking and completion of the Booking Confirmation.
• Rental Agreement: Required to confirm your reservation and must be signed within 24 hours of booking.
• Security: Exterior security cameras are installed on the property.
Schaffer’s Mill Golf Access – Guest Policy
• Unaccompanied or sponsored guest play is not permitted on Fridays, Saturdays, and Holidays
• Unaccompanied or sponsored guest tee times are available Sunday–Thursday after 12:00 PM only
• Tee times can be booked up to 7 days in advance
• Guest rate: $305 per round (rates are subject to change at any time at Schaffer's Mill's discretion).
• Guests may play a maximum of 5 times per calendar year
• Exclusions: Organized club events (tournaments, guest days, invitationals, etc.) are not included under the guest policy
Baby Gear Rentals
Local baby gear rentals may be arranged independently through a third-party provider. Search for “Tahoe Truckee Baby” and coordinate delivery directly with the provider. Availability, pricing, delivery, and rental costs are handled by the provider and are the guest’s responsibility.
Wildlife
This home is in a natural mountain environment where wildlife, including bears, may be present. Keep doors and windows closed and locked, keep food, trash, and scented items indoors or in designated bear-proof bins, and do not approach or feed wildlife.
