Lovely comfortable bedroom, good size with lots of space, somewhere to sit and a tv with lots of channels. Bathroom was clean although dated but had plenty of towels and complimentary toiletries. The hotel is quirky and a must for golf lovers with lots of pictures, photos and memorabilia. Comfortable and cosy bar and lounge with a lovely charm and locals using it as well. I missed breakfast as slept too well!

Amazing welcoming staff in all areas - delicious bar food and al la carte Rooms comfy, loud bathroom fan which you have to turn on as no window but for what we needed close to the races and anyone playing golf with the beach and sea a stone throw away - highly recommend

Friendly hotel in excellent location.

Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Had a good sized ground floor room with small patio leading on to a garden which is a very family friendly area. If patios were cleaned up e.g. sprayed with Wet and Forget and tables wiped it would make a huge difference because everything else is clean and well cared for. Well situated for walks along the beach and into town.

Very dated rooms

Had to go searching for someone to check in, then again later to find someone to serve a drink at the bar. Room is clean and tidy with an effort made to update it with new curtains and bed throw, but furniture is old and mostly orange pine, stained and marked. Paintwork is chipped and marked and generally tired I had a view of a wall from my bedroom window. Bathroom fan is incredibly noisy and bathroom fittings are also dated. When I asked I was told the WiFi doesn't work this end of the building. Not much help as I wanted to do some work. The bed was rock hard, sleeping on a bench would have been more comfortable. Food was good, fresh, well cooked and interesting, though when I asked in the bar for a menu, I was told someone would bring one to me which I found strange. Wine was reasonably priced.

Great stay

The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was a good size and very clean. If I had to find a fault, I wish the showers could be warmer and more powerful. But would definitely recommend and would go back again.
