The XII Century hotel in Trogir is a great spot to feel like you're staying in history. Located inside the tiny walled island on the edge of town you're immersed in history once you step over the bridge. Our room was unique as it worked with the ancient architecture of the hotel. Pitched ceilings and views of the marina made it special.

Great place to stay in the middle of the old town, right on the waterfront. For travellers with heavy luggage, this is a historic building has no lift which can be a challenge when your room is on the 4th floor.

Converted Attic Room

Staff were very nice and room was clean. However, our room was a converted attic space where you had to walk around bent over or on your knees because the roof was sloped and so low. We could barely get into bed, not to mention the high risk of hitting your head on the wooden rafters when you wake up at 3AM to go to the bathroom. Only in approximately 10% of the room could you fully stand up straight, and we are not a tall couple. Thank god it was only a one night stay. And we paid for a Superior Room. I almost forgot the best part - carrying our heavy luggage up four flights of stairs because there was no elevator and no bell hop. Will not return here. Trogir was very nice, though.
