I will never stay at a Holiday Inn again. I found pubic hairs in the bathtub, and generally the room was not very clean. There were splatters on the bathroom door, looks like it could’ve been vomit. Because of the unclean conditions, I decided to check the mattresses for bedbugs. I found no bugs, but there were plenty of spots indicating that something wet had been spilled, or someone wet the bed. There were drips down the mattress pad onto the dust ruffle. I took the pillowcases and covers off of the pillows and found that most of them were discolored and stained, and not sure that they were just stains. Some of the covers looked like they had not been laundered. I found hairs inside some of the pillowcases. I asked for a new room before I left for the day on my second day. I didn’t ask the night before because it was late and I was not going to pack up everything and wake up my son as we had both had an exhausting day preparing for my mother’s memorial service. My son is an adult, is DeafBlind, has trouble with balance and walking, and needs assistance with bathing, including getting in and out of the bathtub. There were no grab bars at all, so I had to support his entire weight so he could stand up and get out of the tub. Doing this caused injury to my back. When I returned on the evening of my second day, we had been given a new room, but it was not a suite as the first one had been. If it hadn’t been so much trouble to pack up I would’ve sought a new hotel.
