Unforgettable stay in the shadow of Tranekær Castl

An intriguing “kro” or inn in the Danish countryside offering a mix of Tanzanian and Danish cuisine. The host and her family is incredibly friendly and accommodating. A lovely beer in the garden after a long day of biking was a welcome respite. An unforgettable stay.

Kroens suite er temmelig forfalden. Sengen er glimrende og suiten er stor og fint indrettet. Men bygningen trænger i den grad til en grundig renovering. Designet er en blanding at Afrikansk og kongelig privilegeret kro. Meget sjovt og lidt kitch. Morgenmaden er rimelig. Men kromutter er en fantastisk personlighed. En oplevelse I sig selv. Så jeg er lidt trist over ikke at kunne give fuld stjerner over hele linjen.

Rammerne, stemningen og betjeningen var gode, og på de parametre fortjener stedet 5 stjerner. Personalet var imødekommende, og opholdet havde en hyggelig atmosfære. Desværre hænger pris og standard ikke helt sammen. Værelser og badeværelser fremstår meget slidte og gammeldags og trænger efter min mening til en renovering. Det behøver ikke nødvendigvis være topmoderne, men prisen bør i højere grad afspejle den standard, man får.
