I booked and stayed one night, checking out the next morning. Lucas was great through that experience. I ended up needing to stay in Townsville for another night and booked again without hesitation. Again, Lucas was fantastic. Also, based on what i saw of other places online, this provides real value for money. The location just off the Strand is perfect. I highly recommend you book without hesitation.

Our online booking was overlooked. After a 4 hour drive, we were very disappointed to be downgraded on arrival from an executive family room to a standard room. The lodge manager gave us excuses and blame instead of taking accountability for their mistake! We were charged for the executive room price on arrival. The Air Con unit was disgusting! Filters hadn't been cleaned for at least 12 months! The inside of the AC unit was completely blackened and mouldy. It obviously hadn't been serviced for over 12 months, so despite the hot weather, we didn't use it at all due to health risk. The walls in our room were filthy! We lodged a complaint the next morning and were given another standard family room with a clean Air Con unit but offered no discount! The property and rooms are very dated and basic. No stove or oven in the room, portable electric element for cooking. Located very close to The Strand Waterfront, and Supermarket. This was our first time visiting Townsville! We don't recommend staying here and we definitely won't be staying again!

nice motel. very big room with older furniture but all working fine. comfy bed and good AC. plates and glasses , microwave toaster and we could do a little cooking inside. good fridge. near the ferry and supermarket - walking distance. simple, no frills but good stay.
