For what we wanted, ie, cheap, convenient, one night it was ok. Very tired, damaged and basic room but the shower worked, extras such as tea and coffee provided and comfortable beds. Noisy trolley with bottles late at night could be dealt with. I think the pool was clean but not at all inviting. Terrible curtains. We had to rig up some towels to keep the light out for sleeping. Would not stay again, bad ambience.

Excellent location, staff were friendly and welcoming. Room was outdated, blinds didn't cover the window in our room properly, air con was not sufficient for the size of the room, pictures definitely did not fit the description.

The Shoredrive is a very basic motel on the Strand - very nice location but the room was very basic and dated. We loved being across from the playground and the cafe on the corner served nice food and coffee. The room itself could use some renovating, the beds were okay, but the pillows were flat like a pancake and made for a very uncomfortable sleep. The bathroom was okay but old and needed renovating (chipped sink, shower curtain made the whole shower very dark and dingy, shower was old school and hard to get water temp right though the pressure was good) and on top of that the whole room had tiny ants everywhere that got into our luggage and bags. Lastly, there it was noisy from about 6AM - garbage trucks coming in to the skips beside our room, people yelling, just overall not a relaxing stay. There was also no Do Not Disturb sign to put out, so they entered our room just to replace 2 towels which we didn't require for a 2 night stay.

The property/room that we viewed and were shown online was not what we walked into. The bathroom was full of mould, there was no extra blankets for when we got cold. This was not the family room with beach views and a balcony that we paid for or what we thought we had paid for, the room we had was not value for money,

Beach view was the only plus. Parking should be assigned. Bed on wheels were not locked. Bathroom with moulds and telephone shower head would fall. No daily housekeeping. Only change of towels upon request.

Great location, that's the only good thing about this property. Property on arrival was dirty & unmaintained. Was sent a text to say get key from box marked 'key pick up' No such sign on box, had to guess. Buttons did not work, took 3 goes to open. Room was uninviting & shabby. Couch was worn & filthy (did not sit on). No coffee table. Tape on floor by the door. Fridge was rusty. Kettle could not be filled in sink as it was too big, had to be held under shower head to fill. Shower was disgustingly mouldy on all walls & black mould on ceiling. Toilet paper holder almost falling off. Could not properly do dishes in undersized sink as there was no plug. Sink hole was rusty. Pool was peeling & filthy (did not go in). This property was worth $100 AT BEST. $160 was a complete rip off. Would not recommend.

The location is perfect. The staff were very helpful. Everything was nice and clean. Room sizes are excellent but floor tiles are cracked in places which detracted from the overall appearance.
