While the rooms are on the small side, the location and setting makes up for it. Every staff member was helpful and friendly and made our stay so enjoyable. We did opt to have the breakfast there every morning and it was delicious in the most beautiful setting overlooking the sea. So close to the downtown area! It had everything we needed and more!

We stayed about a week in early May. The Havgrim can best be described as cozy and intimate with a handful of rooms. Beautiful sea view and easy walk into town. Breakfast is lovely - and saves you from having to get breakfast in town as there are limited restaurants. I would say depending on the direction of the wind you can hear larger trucks leaving Torshavn from your room if you are super sensitive to noise , otherwise you can hear the ocean waves. A lovely stay!

I loved the staff. They were so kind and welcoming. I loved the location, it was central to everything and right on the coast. Extremely beautiful. And the breakfast was great. So-called “Deluxe room with sea view” was on the lower level, with very limited sea view and was extremely small and claustrophobic. If this was “Deluxe” I cannot imagine how small a standard room must be. More like Fawlty Towers than an upper range hotel. And some very strange restrictions on when you could check out (if you want to check out before 10 am you must do it the night before, but you must be out by 12 noon). Also small annoying things like having to pay extra if you wanted to use the hot tub. Do not recommend…
