We had a nice stay at this property...The village is a dream and the hikes a block away are a bonus! Definitely the location is one of the best things. Dinners are the second best things...menu is limited but the food is absolutely delicious and well presented. The service at the restaurant is fantastic...it was truly a pleasure. The 4 stars are for the cleanliness...our room (Annex room) was not vacuumed during our stay. Since it's basically a hiking place your boots are always dirty even if you leave them at the door. Just something to improve.

Gjogv is amazing

The room was OK but the location and breakfast options were outstanding--warm home-baked bread, salmon... a notch above most breakfast spreads. Good value for the Faroes, though dinner at the hotel restaurant is expensive and there are no other options for miles around.

Gjogv is such a beautiful small village with some great hiking, and I was very happy with my stay at this hotel. Very clean and breakfast was excellent, with the added bonus of having an on-site restaurant for lunch and dinner.

Great stay in amazing location. Our room in the annex building was much nicer and bigger than expected from the photos, with newish IKEA/JYSK-style furnishings. They call it basement unit without a view but it is standard ground floor with glass door. The softest mattress we ever slept on. Excellent breakfast.

Overall a cozy Hotel. Unfortunately the bathroom in our room was really bad. It had a weird smell, a little bit like fish and the shower curtain had black mold at the bottom. It was so bad that we didn't shower. The surroundings around the hotel is very beautiful. Breakfast was good.
