Frontline Townhouse, Beautifully Furnished, Private Pool, Full a/c, Wi-Fi
A luxury 2 bed, 2 bath holiday home located adjacent to the 7th Fairway on the beautiful Mar Menor Golf Resort. Now with a luxurious private pool.
Only 5 minutes drive to the pristine blue flag beaches of the serene Mar Menor 'little sea' at Los Alcazares.
Only 25 minutes drive from the new Murcia International airport, 60 minutes from the airport in Alicante.
The house is in one of the quieter parts of the resort but is still only 10 minutes walk to the 5 Star hotel, spa and golf clubhouse with it's pub and restaurants. 5 minutes walk to the super new on site supermarket and 10 minutes to the offsite boulevard area where there are very many more lovely bars and restaurants.
It is the perfect base whether you are travelling as a family for an annual holiday or as a couple looking to get away from it all for a while.
We have holidayed here with our young grandchildren and they love it. The beaches are pristine and perfect for kids, the sea water in the Mar Menor lagoon is clean and warm and the beaches are really fantastic.
On the resort, all of the communal swimming areas have both adult and child pools.
The house is fully airconditioned and centrally heated.
The kitchen has all the things you would expect: fridge/freezer, microwave, washing machine, dishwasher, kettle, toaster and a new Ikea electric fan assisted oven and hob. There is also a hairdryer in the bathroom.
Both bathrooms have had the shower facilities enlarged, so the en-suite upstairs now has a large walk-in shower while the downstairs has a large enclosed shower cubicle. As anyone who has stayed on a Polaris resort will testify, the original shower and bathing facilities are tiny and can be very difficult to access.
Internet, wi-fi and cable tv are all connected with a range of international channels available to be viewed on the 48" Samsung. We also have a Google Chrome box installed so that you can watch content on the tv via your smartphone or Ipad.
Hot water and heating is via an on demand gas boiler.
The house has 2 bedrooms, the master bedroom upstairs has a superking size double and ensuite bathroom and a very sunny furnished terrace from which you can watch the golfers play their approaches to the 7th green. The downstairs bedroom has 2 singles that can also be changed to a double if required, and there is also a single zbed that can be put up if required.
The resort itself is very secure, it is a gated community the size of a small town and you will see the security company carry out their patrols. The communal areas and streets are immaculately landscaped, gardened and maintained. As soon you enter the resort you will feel as though you have arrived somewhere very special which of course is just how you should feel when you are on holiday and we have done our best with the house to maintain that vibe for you when you enter the house.
Although we have suggested that you hire a car one isn't absolutely necessary.
If you want to explore the area then clearly a car is a must but the house is close enough to Murcia airport and there are plenty of bars and restaurants within walking distance that if all you want to do is chill then don't bother. A taxi from the airport is approx 40 Euros and taxi's are available on the resort from outside the hotel if you want to venture out or need to get back to the airport.
We use a keysafe so you are free to arrive at whatever time of day or night you wish, just collect the key from the safe and let yourself in. Having said that, please note that we do have a 4pm arrival and 10am departure policy in order to give the cleaner time to ensure that the house is perfect for your arrival.
Please note that the pool has a heater for the water, because not everyone wishes to use it and it is expensive to run we don't feel it's fair to charge everyone for it. Consequently, if you do wish to have the pool heated during your stay please let me know before you make your reservation because there is an additional 50 Euro charge.
