I made a mistake not to book direct to be eligible for free parking. Many steps and corridors at the TLH Toorak,if you haven't got any mobility issues then it's perfectly suitable. Breakfast met our needs ,few basic cerelias and cooked breakfast as expected . Many over 80 yrs old ,assume its a popular hotel for OAP's.

The people here are uniformly lovely, eager to please and generally excellent. The property is apparently being run on an absolute shoe string and the budget doesnt run to the basic maintenance of “anything”. Its a time warp back to the 70’s in most regards - and that appears to be the last time anything saw a lick of paint. I met a lot of lovely staff for whom nothing was too much trouble - but the ownership is giving them absolutely nothing to work with. A warren of a hotel that seems largely set up to relieve the elderly of their money in the hope that they dont care anymore or simply dont know any better. Again, an excellent staff trying really hard in a shambolic, crumbling, down at heel hotel. Best avoided in my opinion.
