Very good for price

This was a fairly inexpensive but well-kept and clean hotel for Lawrence! You can tell they recently remodeled/updated the rooms, which was nice! The outside looked nice as well. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast on the weekend closes early at 9. We came in at 9:15 and they tried to find some food for us still. The only down side is the lobby didn’t smell good which was off-putting, but everything else was great! Would recommend!

Probably the saddest place I’ve ever stayed. Two flies greeted us upon entering the room. It smelled of stale cigarette smoke. The grate on the AC was broken, the fan in the bathroom sounded like a tin can being beaten relentlessly. The satellite signal reminded me of dial up internet. The corners of the bathroom had a wedge of dirt. The kind you look at and ponder how many people ignored the obvious. I will say the front desk man was super sweet and informative.

Nice and friendly hotel

The front desk personnel were super helpful with tourism ideas and the rest of the staff were friendly. The room was clean and the hotel location was good for driving to attractions.

Overall, the stay was comfortable and thus is a good value for the price. The AC works very well, which was nice in summer and the curtains block out a lot of light. I the area felt reasonably safe. One heads up (not related to the hotel itself) but I did notice that when booking through hotels.com that from the perspective of staff that I was booking through another service. There was also a different credit card on file that was not my own that the third party booking service apparently uses when reserving, a type of card that I do not have. My address was also slightly incorrect. These compounding factors caused confusion and concern on my part and was something that I did not experience before while booking. But again, this is not due to the staff or hotel but the third party service. I was able to get a hold of someone from hotels.com that confirmed this was a misunderstanding on my part and was ultimately not a cause for concern. I appreciate the staffs patience in explaining to me.

Clean room with good TV. No ice bucket and ice machine not working. Pool appeared to be abandoned. Continental breakfast was almost nonexistent with no juice or yogurt even. Facility shows decline. I hope they get busy and correct. A family type operation that needs help. People were courteous.
