An attractive hotel on an island in the river running thru Tomar. It is surrounded by parkland. A restaurant on the ground floor, which has excellent food, and rooms above. Our room was dual aspect with a the luxury touches we like. Bath robes, slippers, good quality toiletries and scales. The room had small fridge with complementary water & soft drinks. Nespresso coffee machine with pods and a good selection of tea . Bed was very comfortable. Breakfast again very good buffet with hot and cold dishes. Staff friendly and helpful. Parking adjacent to the hotel.

This was a nice property, but before I go into details I need to emphasize that even though I had read in advance the issues about finding this facility, and I had all the instructions with me, we STILL had trouble finding it. Google maps will lead you to another hotel - Hotel dos Templários - and even with their front desk explaining the (very common) mistake, it was still a bit of a challenging driving to find that 'pedestrian-looking' bridge that leads to Estalagem de Santa Iria. However, once there it is a nice place to stay! It's very pleasant being situated in a park instead facing a street! The room was large, with a large bathroom too. Small but pleasant indoor/outdoor pool area, and breakfast was one of the more substantial of those we had during our trip. Nice views from the breakfast room. We were able to walk to the town centre from the hotel, and walking back at night, had a nice view of the lit-up castle on the hill.

A Terrific Treat.

Beautifully located right in Tomar’s amazing park! . Quiet and comfortable rooms. Breakfast was quite reasonable - all the standards. Staff was excellent. Loved using the sauna and massage pools. Earned all of the four stars.

What a beautiful hotel! The staff could not have been more gracious and helpful. The room and bathroom were lovely, the water hot, the towels fluffy. In-room robes were a nice touch. The breakfast was beautifully presented, delicious, and plentiful. Patricia, our main concierge, was beyond helpful and charming. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and stay there again.

A favorite

This was our favorite stay of our many weeks' trip throughout Portugal. It is a charming European style hotel with a modern twist. It felt like a home away from home. The staff was so very friendly and knowledgeable about Tomar and surrounding area. The hotel is situated on BEAUTIFUL grounds that we strolled several times during our stay. This is a place to enjoy and refresh, and we can't wait to return one day.

Loved this Hotel! It was our favorite of our six hotels on this trip. We stayed three nights. It sits on a beautiful park and river with easy free parking.
