Lots of restaurants nearby, walkable to several train stations. Shrine next door having a festival one of the nights we stayed so we were able to visit. The room itself was very clean, but the walls were heavily scuffed from years of guests. A fresh coat of paint would make it look much more updated and tidy. Overall great stay!

An easy and convenient stay for a traveling couple. A quieter and more local neighborhood to come back to after a day in the bustle of central Tokyo. Near good local shops for food purchase and dining. An easy walk from the station.

Our favourite accommodation style choice in Japan. Western breakfast very difficult to get anywhere, so having a self catering utility in the room was just perfect. Bowls, plates and cutlery, microwave and kettle. All u need. The included washer/dryer was great. Super quiet, could run it while sleeping in same room. Detergent included too. Free drinks machine downstairs was handy, and drinks vending machine priced no higher. Great to be able to get cold beers after a long day of walking (and walking). Location good for metro and the right line to get to most places reasonably, time wise. But taxi from Tokyo station a good option with luggage.

Don’t get scammed booking here. They will charge you an extra 3,000 yen per night when you check in because the Expedia booking doesn’t match their “occupancy rules”. I had to pay 15,000 yen extra when I checked in because my booking said (at the time of booking) that I had 2 people, but when I got to the hotel they said I actually had to pay extra per night to have a second person. This charge was not disclosed by Expedia, and it happened to 3 other couples during my few night stay (I watched the other couples try to check in and saw them get surprised with the extra fee in the lobby) and I am still fighting customer support about it. If I knew that extra charge at the time of booking I wouldn’t have reserved it (probably none of us would have). That’s over $100 USD in surprise charges at the time of check in. The facilities are old anyway as some other reviews mentioned.
