Clean, comfy, great neighborhood

The hotel accommodated a family of 5 with 2 queen beds and a twin sofa bed. We had a microwave and fridge in our room. The room was very clean. The TV was huge. The location is the best part. It’s is a 5 minute walk to the metro and there so many great places to eat in the neighborhood. And there is a 7-11 right next door. The hotel was perfect for what we needed.

Good Location, Busy Nightlife

Good central location for restaurants, bars, convenience stores and transit stations. Many amenities provided including charging cable, mini fridge, microwave , hair curling/flat iron, robe, disposable slippers, washing machine. There are a ton of bars & restaurants open late, some surrounding streets felt too adult-ish for young kids. Reserved two Akasaka Suites for 4 night family stay. Rooms were spacious and generally clean. Rooms are shoe free, meaning remove shoes and wear slippers in the room.. unfortunately appears prior patrons didn't do so and/or it's been a while since the rugs had been shampoo/cleaned. Staff were great from dropping off luggage before rooms were ready, to checking out and helping with directions to our next destination.

Smelled like cigarette smoke and sewer

I usually don’t like leaving negative reviews, but I feel like I have to so that no one else falls for the same thing we did. The hotel had a 9.0 rating and looked wonderful online, but it was very misleading. The photos must have been taken when the place was new, because in reality it’s completely run down. From the moment we walked into the lobby, it smelled like sewer. The hallways were dark and smelled terrible too. Our room was supposed to be non-smoking, but it reeked of smoke on top of the sewer smell. It was so strong that three of us in my family of six started feeling sick right away—especially those of us with asthma and allergies. I honestly don’t understand how this place gets such high reviews. We couldn’t stay and had to leave. If you’re sensitive to smells, have kids, or simply expect a clean environment, please think twice before booking.

The hotel is situated close to a lot of restaurants, bars and cafes. Walking distance to various subway stations. The biggest rooms we've ever stayed at in Japan! Comfortably fit 4 adults in the room with plenty of space for 4 large luggages. Its so convenient to have your own laundry in the room. Dislikes: that there was no cleaning service in the room during our 6 days stay (although they pick up our garbage and they provide us with fresh towels daily). This is not a big deal though as the amenities and size of the room is amazing. One of the 4 beds in our room may possibly have bed bugs as I have bites and rashes on my legs when I get up in the morning.
