"This lakefront location for our annual family weekend sounded ideal, but the rain kept us inside, where it was difficult to ignore the issues.-The lake view was the highlight. Beyond that, the fire pit was far too close to the deck, the grass was only cut halfway to the lake, & the tall grass hid holes & random rocks that made walking unsafe. Junk and trash were scattered around the property. The “canoe” in the listing was actually a rowboat, and there were no oars-only kayak & paddleboard paddles.-The interior looked like a 90s thrift store: mismatched décor, random artwork, rickety dining chairs, & a wobbly coffee table. Sliding door handle was very loose. The dirty loft windows should have showcased the lake. Spiderwebs were everywhere, including a thick one behind the bathroom door. There were plenty of beds, but the listing falsely claimed four twin beds in the living room.-No extras-8 towels for 9 people, no spare blankets, just enough toilet paper, & not enough paper towels. The kitchen had utensils but almost no forks or spoons. One outlet had a broken prong stuck in it.-The upstairs shower handle came off in my hand. The downstairs toilet rocked because it wasn’t secured, an issue noted in an 8/25 review. The tub was dangerously slippery, & on our last morning it backed up & wouldn’t drain, plus water leaking from under the toilet.Overall, the stay was just okay. The HOA seems strict about paperwork but not maintenance. Justin’s communication was excellent."
