Decent enough hotel. room and bed were fine, a few bits of ceiling peeling away in the bathroom and the bath screen didn't close properly so water tended to go everywhere. Staff very polite and attentive and food was ok. God value for money so no complaints.

At check in, the member of staff was very friendly and explained everything, the room was perfect for an overnight getaway with a lovely view of the bridge

The room had an amazing view of the river, the bed was very comfortable. The toilet seat was loose and the water had a mouldy taste. The staff were courteous and very busy. The breakfast was bland, they only had instant coffee and no brown sauce. There was nobody available to talk to about the room as they prefer everything to be done through email.

Had a lovely clean room overlooking the river unfortunately had an issue with the heating. This was dealt with by Laura.who relocated us to another room within minutes. Overall the staff were absolutely brilliant nothing was too much trouble and the carvery on Sunday evening and breakfast on Monday morning were 1st class and good value if it wasn't so far from home we would be regular visitors

Reception shambolic on arrival Room location great but carpet tired No idea what toiletries were, handwash in shower ? Abandoned breakfast first morning as staff had forgotten to turn on water, but had a mug of tea herself, and nothing set up at 8:15 am Went for breakfast second day, shambolic, juice empty etc, food barely warm and avocados on toast almost inedible. Please respond to this

Nice room, clean and quiet. Staff in the pub were very pleasant. Food was good, but bar prices are disgracefully high. Over £10 for a standard size glass of dry white wine cannot be justified.

Picturesque place by the river. Very quiet and a great place to stay with a family, as the miniature railway for children is just across the road by the bridge. The chalet we stayed in needs a little update and TLC, but was very clean and tidy. Very good large dining area and the choice for both adults and children was good.

The kettle appeared to blow a fuse just by switching on. This was rectified by "throwing a switch in another room", but I would suggest that the cause should be fully investigated by a qualified electrician! More than adequate parking at this time of year.
