We really needed the break from a long trip to a pure relaxed state within driving up the driveway surrounded by nature. We enjoyed every moment from the hot tub experience to a wonderful hist Marco who takes you not only on a culinary journey but also a personal journey of how he became the first boutique hotel in Norway. An experience to remember and take away knowing you have been well looked after. The food journey was incredible with a personal touch of pure passion for what he does, giving a true experience. "A very interesting location. We didn’t stay in one of the old buildings instead a more modern old home. It was well appointed, spacious and comfortable! Very happy with our stay!"

"Dinner was great and people that worked in the restaurant were very helpful. Check in was fast and easy. The slide at the pool left me with painful bruises. We had booked horseback riding through the providerer recommended by the hotel. We received no confirmation email and no instructions of where to go. We went to the provider's stables which were 45 minutes away. Then, we find out we were supposed to go to the hotel and the riding will have to go on without us. Then we got a call telling us to go back to the stables. Then we get a text telling us to go to the hotel. We turned around several times. The hotel says the privider will have to reimburse us and the provider won't respond. "

"Be aware that sheets/towels and breakfast are extra...we didnt know that beforehand and ended up costing about $160 more for a family of four. The area is beautiful and very quiet. The cabin was clean and large, with a loft that slept four which my kids loved. The kitchen had all the necessary dishes and cookware. We had a very relaxing, pleasant stay. To get to the cabin, you need to drive through a gate (and need to pay about $5 using a credit card) and then find the main lodge. None of this was explained to us by Hotel.com so added some stress and confusion at the beginning."
