Lovely Lavachet Penthouse

This is a beautiful, new penthouse property in a fantastic location in Lavachet. We managed to ski in and out each day (you take skis off to cross the road). It was our first time in Lavachet and we loved the village feel of this place with fantastic restaurants on our doorstep, without needing to walk to Lac each time and a local supermarket. It accommodated all 8 adults and 1 toddler well - the only downside was the absence of storage in the bunk room (but I guess this room is intended for children). The living area worked well and is bigger than it looks in the photos. The best thing I loved about this property were the huge picture windows that brought the outside in. The reason that this review is 4/5 stars is that we had issues on checking in to the property and finding a layer of builder's dust over everything, so this had to be addressed by cleaners before we could properly check in. I'm sure this was just an oversight and would not deter us from returning to this apartment.

Easter Ski Holiday

Had a great family and friends ski holiday in this apartment. It is a new apartment that is fresh and clean and lovely. It still has a few kinks to work out. i.e not enough glassware for the number of people in the apartment; not all cupboards cleaned after building works (sawdust, manuals, wrappers in cupboards, lack of hangers); a book with details on how things work in the apartment would be VERY useful (light switch in hallway controls all lights, how the heating and appliances work etc; info on local amenities/restaurants/free buses etc); clearer details on the fourth room (description shows two sets of bunk beds - it is one double bottom bed, a single top bed and a trundle - caused a bit of an issue for our group as two sets bunk beds were expected). These are minor and easily resolved. The apartment is lovely and clean. Not sure I would class this as ski in, ski out as it not easy but it is a short downhill walk to two chair lifts and a button lift. Nice finish to the apartment. Whilst not entirely what we expected, would definitely stay again.

Apartment was exactly as described and very well located within 100m of Supermarket, 2 Chair Lifts, restaurant and 10 min walk to centre of town. If you have had French apartments before, this is a vast improvement, NOT the small badly laid out accommodation's I have come to know

Alles was perfect voor ons verblijf met 8 personen! Er is slechts 1 klein minpuntje aan het appartement en dat is dat het terras oost-georiënteerd is waardoor je er in de namiddag geen zon meer hebt. Maar dat is ook echt het enige. Wij zouden meteen terug gaan!

PARFAIT !

Très bel appartement tout neuf confortable et spacieux (prestations haut de gamme). Très bien placé (centre Lavachet) : ski aux pieds, commerces et garage couvert à proximité. A relouer si nous repassons à Tignes !
