B&B depolderschuur is an independent home
B & B de Polderschuur is located in the authentic ribbon village of Tienhoven, near Utrecht, and can be easily reached by car, bicycle and public transport. The greenery, the water and the space in this area make it very pleasant to stay. There is much to do, for example, there are various walking, cycling and sailing routes, charming villages and towns in the vicinity and there is a lot to discover in terms of food, art and culture.
WALKING AND CYCLING
It is difficult to choose from all the beautiful walking routes in the area. One of the most famous walks is the Bert Bospad, where you walk through the special and water-rich area of the Westbroeken Zodden. Along the way you will pass through the marshlands of the Tienhovense Plassen, where many different bird species breed.
With the Zoddenpad, the wooden shoe path across the outskirts of Tienhoven and Westbroek, you can walk through woods and farmland on the border of polderland and the Utrechtse Heuvelrug. A relaxed and varied walk.
Thanks to the extensive cycle route network in the area there is ample opportunity to enjoy the diverse surroundings. Think for example of the Loosdrecht lakes, the Hilversum heath and surrounding villages such as Westbroek, Maartensdijk and Hollandsche Rading. Of course we can provide you with many more hiking and cycling tips during your stay!
Did you know that drinking water from the city of Amsterdam is extracted from the B&B in the polders that you look out at?
CULTURE, RELAXATION AND COZY
You don't have to look far for entertainment. For example, go shopping in Utrecht, the cathedral city offers an extensive range of larger chains and small boutiques. Utrecht also has more than enough choice for a delicious cup of coffee, lunch, drink or dinner. Crazy about culture? There are several museums in the immediate area, for example Vredegoed, or something completely different; the skating museum of Tienhoven.
Do you want to make it a completely relaxing experience? Combine your visit with a day at Spa Sereen, after which you return to the B&B completely relaxed.
In short; it is more than worthwhile to pay a visit to our Bed & Breakfast de Polderschuur in Tienhoven.
