Hosts were easy to get a hold of if there was a question. We had about an hour drive into Sequoia National Park. The kids LOVED seeing the horses right outside our door. The hosts left out a few travel snacks which were welcome, and it was nice to have some opened condiments in the fridge, as we typically eat-in when we travel. They also had other touches like a few opened things in the bathroom that we were welcome to use like sunburn gel, lotion, headache medicine, etc. We didn't end up needing anything in the fridge or bathroom, but they were nice touches that made it feel more like home. Cooking & eating-wise they had everything that we needed - dishes, utensils, dish towels, pots, etc. They had a guest book that was fun to flip through as they host people from all over the world. The shower was on the smaller side for larger people, but totally doable. The pull out couch-bed was okay comfort-wise, but we thought blankets were crazy cozy and soft. Loved those! It was dark enough to see the stars without light pollution at night, and the house had lots of night lights which helped our girls feel more comfortable being in a new space. This was a great landing pad for us as we started our vacation.
