Merryweather offers something rarely found in The Villages—the ability to walk to everything while enjoying the privacy of your own secluded retreat.
Located in the heart of Lake Sumter Landing Market Square, guests can easily walk to restaurants, shopping, waterfront paths, nightly live entertainment, and one of the most vibrant gathering places in The Villages. The Villages golf car rental depot is conveniently located nearby, and the transportation shuttle depot is within walking distance, making it possible to enjoy your stay without needing a vehicle.
Despite being just minutes from the action, Merryweather feels remarkably private. Situated on an oversized lot and surrounded by a fully enclosed privacy wall, the property creates a peaceful setting where you can relax, unwind, and enjoy your own space.
Spacious, Bright, and Designed for Gathering
From the moment you step through the front door, you’ll notice that Merryweather feels much larger than it appears from the outside.
The open-concept design, soaring ceilings, abundant natural light, and thoughtful layout create a welcoming atmosphere throughout the home. Sunlight streams through the glass front door and large sliding doors, reflecting beautifully throughout the living spaces.
The bright white kitchen features sparkling quartz countertops, stainless steel appliances, under-cabinet lighting, a spacious island, and plenty of room to prepare meals while remaining connected to family and friends gathered nearby.
The dining area flows naturally into the living room, creating an inviting space for conversation, meals, games, movie nights, and time spent together. Large sliding glass doors draw your attention toward the outdoor living space beyond, making it difficult to decide where to explore first.
The primary suite offers a king-size bed, ensuite bathroom with walk-in shower, private water closet, and a spacious custom walk-in closet. A second king bedroom and additional queen bedroom provide comfortable accommodations for families, friends, and extended stays.
While the home comfortably accommodates up to six guests, we find it is especially well suited for couples, friends, and small groups looking to enjoy time together while still having room to spread out and relax.

One of our favorite features of Merriweather is the outdoor living space.
Step through the sliding doors and you’ll immediately be greeted by the peaceful sound of water cascading from the spa into the pool. Whether you’re enjoying your morning coffee, relaxing with a good book, spending the afternoon poolside, or gathering with family and friends after a day exploring The Villages, the outdoor space was designed to be enjoyed.
The covered lanai features comfortable seating, ceiling fans, outdoor television, and a spacious dining area perfect for meals, games, conversation, and evening gatherings. Beyond the covered space, guests can enjoy the private pool, spa, and sunny outdoor areas designed for relaxation and recreation.
Surrounded by mature landscaping and a fully enclosed privacy wall, the backyard feels like your own private Florida retreat.
