A lovely hotel. Food was excellent! But waited a little while for it to appear, none the less it was worth the wait. Rooms nice and clean and comfortable. Leakimg showered head was slightly annoying

Great stay

Amazing staff everywhere. Amazing breakfast. Room was lovely. Just the mattress was very springy and the pull out sofa bed had a metal frame that kids kept catching their legs on. Ended up putting mattress on the floor and they were fine. It was good that kids could use the pool but the area needs more modernising as it looks a little tired. Overall a great stay and the location was good.

Excellent staff, made us feel extremely welcome from checking in. Checking in was smooth. Dining room options excellent. Thank you lovely Ellie. Delicious food- fish and chips and steak and ale pie. The room was great and again we really appreciated the effort that the housekeeping staff went to in preparing the room especially because we were there to celebrate a birthday. Booking reservations- Tanya is amazing in sorting everything out. Nice lounge, nice staff in the gym and Spa. A relaxing stay . Great choice for breakfast. We will definitely stay here again. Thank you to the lovely staff at the Oxford Belfry.

The hotel itself was nice although there was a conference on so it was noisy at night. Mattress was comfortable but the pillows weren’t, really wish hotels would have different pillow types on the bed as not everyone likes a feather pillow.

Door broken on room 355, needed to be the Hulk to close it. Lift broken. Sauna was smelly, spa and gym equipment were vintage. Building work at hotel, not informed until day before stay. Reception staff arrogant. Check in really slow and very painful. Not offered an invoice prior to settling the account. Settled the account and I was overcharged. No credit offered; reception said they would take up with finance, which they didn't, still waiting for an email and a credit to my credit card, EV charging was cheap ! Dinner was extremely good, at breakfast, items were missing and not topped up.

Staff at check-in was not very friendly or service-oriented. Power went out on Monday morning for 1-2 hours (including no water) causing delays. No concession was made by the hotel, e.g. a discount or free meal etc. Surprising that a big hotel like this has no proper back-up solution.

Everything was ok. So many staff being trained at once. Service really slow in the bar and the food coming out to the bar was confusing staff as the table numbers on the table didn’t correspond to anything. Spa was nice though looking tired. Have stayed in nicer places for a lot less money.

Great little escape 😃

Stayed at the hotel four times over the last few weeks due to some business trips in the area. The staff have been excellent and very friendly and welcoming, the rooms have been absolutely what I needed; big clean; comfy bed; and have an area to relax and know to work so really happy with the whole experience. The pool and steam room were in good condition and nice little bonus since I had to travel down on a Sunday for work! Restaurant was also lovely and the breakfast was brilliant with plenty of options

We booked a table in the restaurant for the first evening of our stay but were unfortunately disappointed by the poor service. Although the restaurant did not appear to busy we were ignored for long periods even though staff were scurrying about. We were told by one member of staff that this was due to a large number of hotel guests requiring bar service.
