Under new ownership, The Rowan has been thoughtfully refurbished to create a stylish, comfortable and welcoming retreat, with a number of lovely new additions designed to make your stay as relaxing and enjoyable as possible.


Beautifully nestled amongst ancient woodland, hidden amongst the trees, The Rowan enjoys a peaceful setting surrounded by scenic walking trails. Despite its tranquil location, the lodge is just a 15-minute walk from Tenby’s golden sandy beaches and vibrant seaside town, making it an ideal base for exploring the very best of Pembrokeshire.

A Wonderful Location


The charming village of Penally is right on your doorstep and offers a cosy traditional pub and the renowned restaurant at Penally Abbey, along with the restaurant at Trefloyne Manor it gives you plenty of options for a delicious meal or a relaxing drink without having to venture far.


Just two miles away, the popular seaside town of Tenby is home to its award-winning beaches, colourful harbour and wonderful selection of independent shops, cafés, restaurants and bars.


The Rowan is also ideally located for enjoying Pembrokeshire's many family attractions, as well as the county's spectacular beaches, coastal paths and countryside.


Inside The Rowan


Accessed via the new secure gated wrap-around veranda, The Rowan opens into a spacious open-plan kitchen and dining area, with a cosy seating nook and doors leading to the two downstairs bedrooms and family bathroom. Stairs lead to the first floor living room and master bedroom with ensuite.


Kitchen & Dining Area


The well-equipped kitchen has everything you need for a comfortable self-catering stay, including a washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, freezer, microwave and air fryer.


There is comfortable dining seating for up to six guests, together with a small sofa seating area – perfect for a morning coffee or keeping the cook company!

A comfortable double bedroom with ample storage space.

A twin bedroom with two single beds and ample storage.


Family Bathroom


The family bathroom features a bath with shower, separate corner shower unit, toilet, wash hand basin and mirror.

Head upstairs to the spacious and comfortable lounge, with sofa seating for up to six guests and a small dining area.


The entertainment setup is perfect for cosy evenings in, with a TV offering Freeview, Netflix, BT Sport, Sky Sports, movies and children's channels. Fans are also provided for your comfort.


Doors lead out onto the furnished balcony, where you can sit back and enjoy the beautiful views across the surrounding woodland and golf course.


For a magical family movie night, the complete Harry Potter film series is available to watch via Amazon Prime and Netflix.

The master bedroom features a comfortable king-size bed, plenty of storage and its own ensuite bathroom with bath and shower over, toilet, mirror and wash hand basin.


Outside


The Rowan's new secure gated veranda with new outdoor furniture makes the outdoor space particularly practical for families and guests bringing their four-legged friends.

Please note: That stag and hen parties are strictly not permitted at this property. Mixed group and same sex group bookings may be considered by prior application only and are subject to owner's approval and checks.


There is parking for two cars at the lodge, along with gas central heating, underfloor heating and WiFi.


The Rowan welcomes two small dogs or one medium-sized dog, making it a wonderful choice for a family getaway with your furry friends, why not take a look at our dog dog friendly beaches guide. A charge of £25 per dog applies, and a dog gate is provided to help keep your pets safe and comfortable during their stay.

Terms and Conditions of Hire.

Bookings of all holiday accommodation whether made by telephone, e-mail, in person, in writing or over the internet are accepted by Puffin Cottage Holidays acting as the agent on behalf of the Owner. The contract to occupy the property is between you and the owner.

By making any booking with us, you confirm that you accept these terms and conditions and agree to comply with and be bound by them.

These booking terms and conditions include a number of defined terms as follows:

"Booking" means the legally binding reservation for use of the property, with a specified start and end date.
"Contract of Hire" The legally binding contract between the Hirer and the Owner
"Deposit" means a deposit of 20% of the total holiday accommodation cost (which includes any "extras" selected at the time of booking).
"Balance" means the balance of the Total Charges payable by you after payment of the Deposit as set out in paragraph 4.
"Website" means the booking website.
"Lead Hirer" means the person who has booked the accommodation.
"Guest" means you and each person staying in the property with you.
"Owner" means the owner of the Property you book which is the subject of the Contract of Hire. We do not own the properties on our website.
"Agent" means Puffin Cottage Holidays.
"Property" and "Properties" means the holiday property you book or enquire about through us.
"You" means the lead person making a booking through us.
When you make a booking through us you are confirming that you and every Hirer understands, agrees and accepts these terms and conditions. Please read them carefully as any breach may result in the Owner (or their representative) refusing to allow you and your guests to enter and stay at the property or requiring you and your guests to leave the property before the end of the holiday period without any compensation or refund.

1. Contract and Booking
We act as agents for the Owner. When you make a Booking through us the holiday let contract in respect of the Property is always between you and the Owner. As Agents we accept no responsibility for an injury or damage caused as a result of the Contract.

Bookings cannot be accepted from persons under 21 years of age.

The Lead Hirer must be one of the Guests staying at the property and shall not part with possession of the property or share it, except with other Guests named on the booking form.

The Properties are not intended to be reserved for the purposes of parties and group bookings, including for stag, hen dos and birthdays, may not be allowed unless explicitly agreed with the Owner. In these circumstances the Owner may impose special requirements (including the possible requirement for, but not limited to, an extra damage deposit payment)

No Bookings are confirmed until the Deposit (or Balance and Deposit if the holiday is less than 8 weeks away) is received and written confirmation of its receipt has been sent.

Once a booking is confirmed it cannot be changed by you, unless agreed by the Owner, or by us on the Owner's behalf. If we or the Owner agree to make requested changes to your booking (for example, amending the date or Hirer) you will be required to pay £25 amendment fee per change.

2. Booking Fees
A booking fee of £24.00 is payable when making a booking. This is included in the displayed price of the holiday.

3. Deposits and Balance Payments
Bookings made within 8 weeks of your holiday date must be paid for in full at the time of booking. For a booking made more than 8 weeks before your holiday a deposit of 20% of the total due will be paid when booking to secure the booking. The balance will be paid 8 weeks prior to your holiday. If you make a booking within 8 weeks of the start of the holiday you will be required to pay for the holiday in full at the time of booking to secure the booking. In the event that the balance payment is not received by the required date, Puffin Cottage Holidays reserves the right (on behalf of the Owner) to cancel the booking and will be under no obligation to refund any deposits previously paid.

The booking fee and Deposit are non-refundable unless we are unable to accept the booking on behalf of the Owner, or the Property is unavailable at the time of the holiday

4. Damage Deposits
Some properties may require damage deposits for all bookings made. If this is required, it will be recorded in the Property Description. Any damage deposit will be due along with the final balance payment, 8 weeks prior to your holiday, or, where the booking is made within 8 weeks of your holiday, the damage deposit must be paid in full at the time of booking.
