Las Palmas sits on a hilltop above the Templeton countryside, ten minutes south of Paso Robles and far enough out that the hills are the only thing you hear. Arches and a red tile roof set the tone from the driveway, and from there the house opens outward — this is a property built around its patios.
Inside runs southwestern hacienda: an open living, dining and kitchen area with a woodburning fireplace anchoring one wall. Most bedrooms open directly onto patio space of their own, so mornings can start outside without crossing the house. The primary bedroom has a sunroom attached and direct access to the sauna.
The rest of the day sorts itself. A hot tub for the end of it, reading nooks for the middle, and a game room with ping-pong and foosball for anyone who'd rather compete than unwind. Between the patios and the hills rolling out below, the house rarely gives you a reason to leave.
When you do, downtown Paso Robles has its city square, boutiques and restaurants, plus a farmers market on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Templeton's own small Main Street is closer still. The wine country roads make for slow afternoon drives through oak-studded hills, and the coast at Morro Bay and Cayucos is roughly forty minutes west when you want the ocean instead.
