The check-in staff was courteous; however, the hotel itself is poorly maintained. There was a strong odor of cleaning chemicals in the lobby, and beyond that point, the carpets near the elevators and throughout the hallways were visibly dirty and emitted an unpleasant smell. The odor in my room was even stronger and appeared to be an attempt to mask underlying issues with bleach or similar chemicals. This made it difficult to breathe and caused dizziness. The furnishings were dirty and scratched, making me uncomfortable placing my belongings down. The bathroom floor was also still wet upon arrival. Due to these conditions, I checked out in less than an hour. I informed the front desk that I am hyper allergic and to avoid further risk to my health I could not stay. I requested a refund and was told that a note would be made to inform Expedia of my early checkout, but that the refund decision would be handled by Expedia.

The room was ready soon as we got there even tho we were a little early thanks to Jovana she was so great check in till we check out… thanks to her.. First room was clean and spacious… it has minimal toiletries shampoo conditioner and body wash was not filled fully so we ran out on our second day… they also provided 2 mini bar soap by the sink and a make up remover.. So i would always travel with toiletries im sure toothpaste and others are available upon request. But if not they do have mini corner store by the lobby.. with snacks and drinks and mini toiletries options. They also have a starbuck franchise coffee but not full menu. This area is surrounded by stores walmart sams club trader joes and restaurants if you really need anything. We did not check nor use the gym, laundry pool and rooftop bar. Also this was my sons 1st Bday and i usually ask if they do something for them, usually they will have a goodie bag and a cup cake so it does not hurt to ask. But Marriot did above ans beyond for us balloon set up ans cup cake so that was such a great touch…. Overall great place wont mind to stay here again if we are near the area!
