Cova do Coracao

"Cova do Coração" translates to "Cave of the Heart". It’s a special recently restored farmhouse in a small Portugese hamlet. With 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, an outdoor kitchen with a BBQ and a wonderful new pool, it's a lovely holiday home. Nestled amongst serene hills - perfect for morning walks - it's beautifully in touch with nature. Olhão and Tavira are 20 mins away, Santa Catarina 7 mins and the beach 20 mins too. We also host yoga retreats if you search the house name online.

The space
The property is comprised of four lovely double bedrooms (please note that each bed has two duvets, one for each person), three bathrooms, an outdoor kitchen with BBQ (overlooking rolling hills and the pool!) and gardens full of fruit trees and grasses. I've lovingly restored the property to high spec, using natural materials such as Bauwerk limewash paint and hand-painted floor tiles by a local artisan.

Enjoy lazing by the pool, reading in the hammock, or strolling up nearby hills after a leisurely lunch in the shaded area.

FYI - Although set within deep countryside, there are a couple of houses nearby, one with a small farm (she is a bee-keper and processes her honey there!). Please note that the fire-pit can only be used during the winter season, due to wildfire risk.

Guest access
Guests are welcome to use all the interior and exterior space around the property - surrounding gardens, pool etc.- except the jacuzzi. The house is semi-detached and occasionally I stay in the adjoining property but am very discreet, and do not use the pool.

Other things to note
Please note that the property is semi-detached, and every so often I stay in the adjoining property. When I'm there, I'm very discreet and do not use the grounds or pool - these are for your use only. Please do enquire if you'd rather book when no one is staying in the adjoining property, and I'll let you know about your requested dates.
