Great stay, right across the road from the lake, it made going for a swim super easy. It was an easy walk to town for a meal and a few pints and air conditioning in the room to cool the hot summer night. We could have gone to the bar on site for a drink and food. It looked very nice but we wanted to see more of the town. We loved the upstairs room because of the view.

Yes, the room was very dirty, the towels were badly folded, and the bathroom was really filthy. I'm not even sure if the room was cleaned, and it wasn't the room I paid $250 for on the website. I can't recommend anyone stay there.

The lady at the front desk was very friendly but we were disappointed that our rubbish wasnt cleared as it was advertised that this would be done. We also needed to ask for more towels as we stayed 3 nights. Room was spacious and shower had good pressure and the spa bath was nice. Air conditioning was good.

I was met with the most lovely lady who then came out of the reception to show me our room and car park, she was so warm and welcoming, lovely lady ! Our room was beautifully finished and decorated and exceptionally clean, super comfortable bed and pillows. Highly recommend. We had just arrived from Napier on a rd trip seeing family. We we're a little disappointed with the motel there which was supposed to be a good quality one, so we're not so easily promoted to write a good review. Thank you for our lovely experience here, most definitely will rebook when we return March.

Very friendly and welcoming staff. Room had an abundance of coffees and teas. Soap,tissues and towels provided. The floors probably needed to be mopped as the floors were very dirty. There was no toilet roll holder. Also no iron in the room. There was no available parking but reception was kind enough to arrange an alternative spot. Good location

The good - The motel is in a great location close to the CBD. The room we had was clean and tidy. The bad - I had made a booking for a room with 2 beds. When we checked in I was handed the keys for a room with just 1 bed. Not suitable for the 2 of us. I went back to reception to complain. I was treated extremely rudely by the lady at reception. Who blamed me for doing a wrong booking and I had got the room I asked for. When I showed her the proof, that I had requested 2 beds on my receipt. She got very stroppy with me and said that was the room I was to take. She was raising her voice at me and accusing me of being wrong. She than phoned her manager and he told me that Expedia had made the mistake in not passing the information across to them. They would give me a full refund, but I would be forced to find alternate accommodation. That was an unacceptable solution. The lady at reception continue to speak to me in a rude and loud manner and was completely unreasonable for someone in customer service. After finishing speaking to her manager. She continue to push the line that it was Expedia fault, but offered no solutions other than I could check into another hotel and they would tell Expedia to give me a full refund. I suggested that even if they had a camp stretcher that would work as it was just for 1 night as we were passing through. She was completely unreasonable and told us no. In the end one of us had to sleep on the sofa chair. Not good for what I paid

Room very dated and in need modern update. Paint was peeling off the walls. Shower was very dated and uninviting that we didn’t use it. Old fashioned rose head in the shower. We paid twice as much for this motel as others were fully booked but do not expect to be staying in a very basic motel unit. Tea and coffee supplies were at best minimal and not appetising. Could get TV to work. Only good thing was the bed was really good with good linen. Cleanliness was really good

I felt the shower was a bit dangerous as it was a high step up / down. The water was very hot but I had a near burn because the mixer on the shower was hard to know which way was hot or cold. A vacuum under the bed was needed. Very clean and comfortable beds .
