Check in staff friendly and efficient. Bed was comfortable and clean. Room was grubby, mould on back of curtains, cobwebs in bathroom, carpet not well vacuumed. Skirting boards and unit in bathroom dirty. Furniture in room was old and tatty. Reception was not open at 7.30 am when we left so I was not able to discuss with staff.

Some milk for a cuppa and some soap to wash hands (there was only a small body wash) would be good. These are basics.There was mold in the bathroom and no shelf in the shower or bathroom, so either use the floor or toilet seat! Noisy at night from restaurant kitchen. It was clean.

The room was tired, and was not seviced while we were there and for the last 18 hours of our stay we were without an adequate water supply due to inefficient water storage facilities. The police had to be called at 4am due to neighbours loud arguing and when we asked for some sort of compensation but was told we could receive a discount on the next stay.I was promised a phone call after the directors were informed but did not receive one. We would never again stay at Twin Peaks Taupo, even if you paid me.

We had a quick overnight stay as we were travelling south. The room was clean and well appointed. Plenty of hot water and the location close to the Jolly Good Fellows restaurant and bar was perfect for dinner. The staff were very engaging yet gave us a level of privacy.

Clean, well presented and comfortable kitchen/living/sleeping area. Bathroom had also been modernised except for the shower which was in need or refreshment and shower mixer tap was difficult to set the water temperature. Restaurant/ bar on site was very convenient and convivial, with a great veiw of sunset over the lake.
