TV remote didn’t work - had to go and get new batteries. Then discovered WiFi not working. Went back down to reception, only to be told there was nothing they could do about it. Unfortunately, this hotel is going down every time we stay at it. At least the heating was working this time. Last time we had to get an electric heater from reception because the heating was not working.

The front desk staff were cheerful, friendly, helpful and professional. The room was spacious and clean with a desk, hair drier, iron and even a folding baby changing unit. Breakfast - included in the room price - was excellent.

My room was not made up when i arrived. This was resolved and i was moved quickly to a room opposite. This was at back of hotel. Unfortunately there was a loud workman outside cutting and banging from 9 till 10pm. I was then woken at midnight by the same workman banging again. Then at 6am i was woken again by loud talking. Terrible sleep. Breakfast was also poor with croissants and muffins missing and dried out bacon. Parking was easy to find and shared with Harvester next door.

Stay here every year but the pet charge has now gone up to £30 which is just too high. My dog is small and doesn't cast whatsover but even if she did £30 is steep for an extra hoover. The breakfast let it down this year, stale limited items, sausage, bacon and hash browns all tough like they'd been cooked and reheated. No porridge, small selection of cereal and pastries. Coffee machine not working properly, told young lad, didn't do anything about it. Was so nice the last time we stayed so this year disappointed
