Sadly this was such a disappointment. Seems the only thing they did right was charge my credit card timely. The room had no thermostat so we had to change rooms to one that had it. Then the tv didnt work in that room so the attendant came up and helped us fix it. Then the toilet ran most of the night.the gym said open at 5 but it never was so a grumpy attendant had to open the door for me for the two nights we were there. On top of that fir both days we were there the potatoes and he bacon were charred black. I ll never go to a hampton inn or any of the Hilton family of hotels again mind u we were there for a funeral service of a beloved friend. Not a good experience.. oh almost forgot.. the water for the shower took around 15 mins to get even tepid so we could shower.

Check in was excellent. pur eoom eas 202 on the second floor, and its a hike. From frontvdesk walk to the other side of the building, then tale the elevator then walk to the pther side again. Breakfast- ran put of oatmeal, bagels and coffee cups. next day coffee cup lids.

Staff support was very poor. First day they had fruits but next day when I asked for fruits they were not helpful at to me.There were no fruits in in breakfast and when I asked for fruits banana they said they do not have. They had no apples. When were tried to use the laundry room , the laundry room had some problem and it could not be opened . So I went to the front desk and the staff did not help us at all. They said they have called the plumber to come open the door but no one came . So we could not use the laundry at all. I did request them if I could use the housekeeping laundry and they said no.

Great stay. Couple concerns: The fitness room needs to be configured to open at 5am as stated on the door. The desk had to manually open it before 7am. The room service needs some better attention some days they cleaned..some days they didnt. Toilet paper needed restocked and clean towels needed at a minimum daily..

We greatly enjoyed our stay at the Hampton Inn Taos, so much so that I decided to write a review, which I rarely do... the room was clean, the breakfast was good, I particularly liked the bacon and the eggs, the coffee was very good... and the staff was overall friendly and responsive/professional.. but there was this maintenance tech (unsure of actual title) named David, probably aged 25.. he was remarkably kind and helpful. Our last day there I was thanking him for his helpfulness when I noticed a man holding the elevator for me which I'd planned to enter. I thanked the man and explained "the maintenance guy, he's so helpful, and his tips made a difference for my family and I with our activities." The man said "Oh yeah, he's great isn't he? Very genuine." I kind of laughed a bit... "Yeah" lol "that" I believe I said. I didn't realize until a few moments later that the man in the elevator was .. the hotel manager..? he was some form of mgt... In either case... having realized I was talking to mgt I got the opportunity to thank him for the environment he and the staff provided us, and "David" in particular. Great stay! Hope to go again!!!

The pool was freezing , when we got to our room the phone, microwave and remote all didn’t work and had to be swapped . The maintenance person wasn’t on site till the next day so we had to wait for everything and had to even switch our own microwave, the front desk employees were very short and rude when we asked about anything for our room, the cleaning staff was magnificent and all very pilite and sweet ! Next time we will definitely be looking for somewhere other than this Hampton to stay !

The room is a lot smaller than it appeared in the photos. The beds were pretty firm not really the best for me. The cabinets that held the refrigerator didn't close the microwave made an awful noise but it was clean and safe
