Good Hotel

Location - Out the way. Hotel runs shuttle bus to the city at specific time, pick up and return once a day. Pre booking is required. Taxi fare can be expensive from hotel to city centre. Hotel - The hotel grounds are beautiful. Relaxing and calm atmosphere. Great swimming pools and not to deep. Kids had great fun. The beach is a few steps away which is convenient, alot of plastic washed on to the sand which was a shame other than that i really enjoyed my walks along beach. Half Board - breakfast and dinner - a good selection of cuisines. Lunch which was not included in HB. We instead bought from their poolside restaurant "Toucan". Expect to pay more than UK prices. Magarita pizza was good however chicken and pesto was bland with rip off price. Also their idea of a Taco is a Wrap! Avoid this as its over priced equivalent to £15.00 and tasted bland!. I wouldnt mind paying the price considering we had no access to any other restaurant however the flavours need to match the extotionate prices!. Staff- The recep staff are ok but feel they can be better. Spoke little English, explaining things was quite difficult. One paticular staff sits at the desk area was very rude and was insensitive when asked about medical attention. All other staff were extremely friendly,polite and hard working. The hotel should be lucky to have them. Shout out to outlet manager, EL Moataz EL Haddalahi for ensuring we were comfortable and cheked in to see if were having a good day.

Great hotel - Long check in process

We arrived at 2:30 PM to check in, but it took a while for our room to be ready. From 2:30 to 4:00 PM, we were checking with the reception, and they informed us the room was not yet available. At 4:00 PM, a kind member of the reception team noticed us resting in the lobby and asked if anyone had assisted us. We explained that we had completed the check-in process and were waiting for our room. She returned to apologize that the check-in would take a bit longer, as the rooms were still not ready. The team kindly offered us welcome drinks, which was a thoughtful gesture. At 4:40 PM, we finally received our room. After that, our stay was a great experience. We did notice some ants in the room, but it did not affect our stay. A special thank you to Hasna in the main restaurant for her positive energy and excellent cooperation—it truly made our experience even better. Overall, a pleasant stay with attentive staff who made us feel welcome.

Family friendly hotel. Beach and swimming pool on site. Area around hotel not very developed. There is a shuttle bus that can take you to town. We hired a private taxi to take us on a private tour around Tangier. Staff are friendly and helpful.

We were so excited for this stop on our Moroccan trip. However this hotel turned out to be a a very big disappointment. We were only able to get one of our two rooms ready a few minutes before check in. We were told that the other room would be ready shortly but we never got the keys. We had to make our way to the reception desk to get the keys. We decided to have a late lunch at the poolside restaurant. The service was lackluster to say the least. The food was even worse. My kids ordered chicken nuggets and they smelled very off. The prices were outrageous. Water cost 5 times the amount outside of the resort. When we finally got our room it was a king accessible. Avoid this room at all cost. The bathroom is an accident waiting to happen. The entire shower area was open to the bathroom. No separation whatsoever. We asked the front desk about this since the entire bathroom got wet from a shower. They said that’s the way the room is designed. It’s a terrible design. The bathroom became a slippery hazard for my kids. My brother who was a few doors down asked the front desk to send a shower curtain which they promised to do. Needless to say we never received it. I even asked the reception to which they replied that it was too late and they didn’t want to disturb us. Food at the buffet for both dinner and breakfast was also disappointing. Not for lack of variety but lack of flavor. The only saving grace for this hotel is the beautifully kept grounds.

Really attentive service, particularly by Front of house (Excellente and Maryam) and very good family facilities all round, including wonderful apartment and pool and shuttle transport into the city.

This is a really nice property with excellent ammenities for the whole family. Very friendly and helpful staff, big private beach, pools, spas, restaurants.... name it, they have it. The only negative thing about this property is the clientele it attracts. Its mostly rich but low class people, with a healthy dose of Karens complaining about everything and bothering the staff. Nothing the hotel can do anything about it.

The service wasn’t up to standard for a five star hotel. The dinner was awful no variety for main main. The chicken served on both nights was dry and the rice overcooked and had no flavour. There was no meat and prunes tagine as it was expected to be served.

This resort is close to Tanger . About 20km . It makes it a perfect getaway for the weekend to enjoy the beautiful Atlantic Ocean beach and the hotel’s beautiful gardens and pools. The buffet breakfast was sumptuous and food fresh. The staff go out of their way to make you feel special . I highly recommend this place. They fo offer a day pass too. Check it all out on their website and social media ❤️😎

Hilton Al Houara is a visually stunning hotel with beautiful landscaping and architecture, but unfortunately, the service and hospitality fall short of a true 5-star experience. We arrived at 7 AM after a long journey, yet despite booking half-board, we weren’t allowed to have breakfast and had to wait until 4 PM for check-in — a poor welcome that lacked flexibility and care. Throughout our stay, we felt restricted rather than relaxed. The pool was often dirty, breakfast was limited and repetitive, and while dinner was enjoyable, the service felt inconsistent. Some guests were clearly prioritised over others, with staff showing favouritism. The hostess at the Argan restaurant, in particular, was dismissive and unwelcoming. The hotel’s remote location — nearly an hour from Tangier’s city centre — made getting around inconvenient. Basic amenities like water were also stingy, with only two small bottles provided per day. What felt most disheartening was the treatment on our last day. It genuinely felt like the staff stopped caring simply because we were checking out. For a resort that markets itself as luxury, the lack of consistent hospitality and warmth left us disappointed. A beautiful property with potential, but currently not living up to the 5-star standard.
