The front desk is very friendly and the morning buffet has a lot of good choices. Right next to the beach where you can dip in the hot spring while enjoying the ocean view
The property location and views from the hotel rooms are fabulous. Staff are extremely courteous and helpful, even to English-speaking travellers. The building is a bit dated but still very nice. We enjoyed the experience of the set dinners even if we weren't adventurous enough to try every course. Our kids loved sleeping on futons, running around the playground by the beach, and going to the onsens. It's easy to take the public bus around the area and IC cards are now accepted for fare payment, contrary to info on the bus website.
Location is superb, just next to the beach and we could see the beach light shows at night in our room. Also there are plenty parking spaces for those who drives.
Great hotel location, directly on the beach & superbe view of the ocean from the room.
The hotel room could use a little update, but it was quaint and clean.
The staff was very helpful with diner reservations & questions.
The breakfast was outstanding!!!
Very Convenient location close to the Shirahama beach and bus stop.
Multi course Japanese dinner and breakfast included were very nice.
They also offer free drinks snd coffee in the hotel lobby.
To us - we think this is the must stay in the area. It is near the beach, great services that the front desk is super helpful, at least one of the staff have good English.
The benchview room is unforgettable, for both the view and being spacious - wish could have stayed longer.
Lovely, spacious room with such a gorgeous beach view! Plenty of cushy comforters on the futon made for an extremely comfortable bed. The meals are nothing short of spectacular!! Delicious and beautifully arranged. So good!
On the first day, the service staff was warm-hearted. On the second day, the service staff was unsatisfactory, not enthusiastic enough, and relatively indifferent.
Like most hotels in the area, it is showing its age abit but hotel is clean. Beautiful beach and ocean views from the room. Both onsen are nice and standardly equipped. Halfboard breakfast/dinner is also good quality. Many of the table staff are foreign and have a good grasp of japanese/english as there are tourist who frequent here, but seevice is generally good. Reception staff is also well versed in english as well and friendly/professional. One big complaint with the room is the heating/cooling ventialtion controls in the room are useless. As per the staff, it is a centralized system and regardless of whatever temperatures you set it will not change the temperature. (Either fan on or off.. and temperature during the day/evening it seems to be preset at 24 degrees celsius .. and beware that early in the morning, the heater system kicks on and heats up the room alot up to about 27/28 degrees celsius) In my travel during early April when it was warmer outside, room temperature was unbearably warm and i had to request for portable fan and shut off the main ventilation fan to make things more tolerable. Opening up the window helped but I had to shut it due to mosquitos coming into room because there are no mesh netting on the windows. This is a big negative for those who cannot handle the heat/stuffiness in the hotel room. This is silly as the room thermostat has temperature level controls but it does nothing for the temperature. Otherwise, if you not mind its fine
Generally good but ventilation system needs upgrad
