The staff is very helpful and welcoming. The location is great. The kumano kodo trail is right behind it. This onsen town will be amazing to visit in winter, it was too bad that we were there in summer!

Great affordable place to stay doing the Kumamoto Kodo. The onsen was wonderful after a long day hiking. The bunk beds were surprisingly big. Free rice in the evening and rice porridge in the morning was great because there are not many food options in town. We’ll stocked kitchen and comfortable common space. Recommended stay!

We booked a private room in JHoppers. It was easy to check in. Their private onsens are easy to use and very relaxing. They have plenty of snacks to buy and they offer rice in the morning. However, do not book on Expedia!! We made this mistake and the hotel contacted us to order dinner boxes. We responded but the hotel never got our message. The town only has 1 restaurant so if it’s closed you won’t be able to eat that night

ホストの方が大変親切で熊野古道の長距離ハイクで熱中症気味でヘロヘロになっていたところ、氷水や塩をくださり、冷水シャワーを浴びるといいとチェックイン手続き前に温泉にも入らせていただきました。外国の方が多いですが、共有スペースでみんな和気あいあいとしていました。清潔な館内で相部屋に宿泊しましたが、寝室はしっかりと区画されており快適に過ごせました。なりより24時間入れる少し硫黄臭のする本格的な温泉で疲れをいやすことが出来、最高でした。

The location was magical, so close to the forest with a small shrine near by, just over the mountain from one of the major shrines on the Kumano Kodo it was a nice place to land. The onsen at the hotel is small but better than the public one.

スタッフの方の対応もよく、室内も綺麗にされていました。部屋にテレビ、冷蔵庫等はなく、一階の共同で使用するという感じでした。冷蔵庫などに、冷やしたいものを名前を書いて冷やす方法等が初めてで、最初は不安もありましたが、問題ありませんでした。他の方々もそれぞれルールを守って過ごす宿泊施設でした。 源泉掛け流しのお風呂や夜は、白米、朝はお粥とついていて、助かりました。このような旅行も良いものだと感じました。 ありがとうございました。
