Firefly Cottage | Hideaway with Wood Fireplace

A peaceful three-bedroom, three-bath escape designed for couples and small groups of friends. Hidden behind a private gate and framed by flowering gardens where daisies bloom and seasonal fireflies flicker at dusk, the cottage feels secluded yet is only one-kilometre to Gallery Walk and just minutes from Tamborine Mountain’s famed rainforest trails.

The Space:

Step through the door and feel an instant sense of ease. Inside, farmhouse-cottage warmth unfolds with soft textures, timber accents and generous windows that draw the gardens in. Three comfortable bedrooms give everyone their own retreat, with two private ensuites and a third bathroom featuring a classic clawfoot bathtub for long, indulgent soaks. A wood-burning fireplace anchors the living room, setting the scene for evenings of wine, conversation and slow living.
The kitchen is built for real cooking and relaxed entertaining, with a gallery layout, a butler’s pantry and quality dinnerware. From breakfast to long evening meals, the large weather-proof wrap-around verandah is the heart of the home—perfect for barbecues, coffee at sunrise or unwinding after a day of exploring.

Spend your days wandering Tamborine Mountain Botanic Gardens, browsing the cafés and boutiques of Gallery Walk, or discovering nearby waterfalls and rainforest lookouts. Guest Access:

During your stay, the entire cottage and its gardens are exclusively yours. Please note: the shed at the rear of the property is for owner storage and is not accessible to guests.

Other Things To Note:

Please note, Firefly Cottage is not suitable for children, due to the delicate and antique nature of its furnishing and wood fireplace. It is designed for adults seeking peace and quiet. It isn’t suitable for children, pets or parties.
We kindly ask guests to respect the mountain’s tranquil setting by observing quiet hours from 9 pm to 7 am. Firewood is supplied during June, July and August. For firewood outside of winter, please message in advance to organise if available.
We provide organic body wash, shampoo and conditioner, along with all-natural, eco-friendly dishwashing products. Our cleaning practices use only natural, non-toxic products, so your stay is gentle on both you and the environment.
