Very pleasantly surprised.

Wasn't to sure what to expect, but very pleasantly surprised. Staff were great and very helpful. The location is superb, 15 mins walk from Taipei main station and right on top of the Ximen MRT station. The room was very large(I had the corner room with huge windows overlooking the street). Breakfast was only okay, but as they catered for a variety of nationalities they still did alright. Food outlets in the surrounding areas that early in the morning are very sparse. So having the breakfast option was a good way of getting something in the morning. I really enjoyed my stay and would certainly go back next time I decide to stay over.

I like the room in this hotel. It has a great window view. Even the restroom has window view so that you can enjoy the scenery while relaxing in the bathtub. However, the bathtub is a bit small.

Great location close to a lively night market and central transportation hub. Room provided (booked through Expedia) bore no similarity to the photos and were oddly designed and quite dated. The adjoining rooms booked were connected via an external hallway with a third door that was occasionally left open during the day. The hotel has many floors throughout a shared building and there seems to be high variability between the floors in terms of property conditions.

Location was very good with proximity to Ximen ding and connectivity via MRT to others. Unfortunately, the gym was under renovation. Having a gym was one of the reasons why I chose this accommodation in the first place ☹️

Although i was upgraded, the bathroom reeks in urine smell. Even after they cleaned up, the smell persisted! The carpets were stained with obvious patches. Hallway was dark due to design and painted wall and facility was old and not well maintained.

This hotel is unsafe. We first realised there was an issue when another guest walked into our room. We phoned reception who told us not to worry because he was staying in another room. This did not explain how he got into our room. The next day we came back to find our room unlocked. We had made sure it had locked when we left. Again we spoke to reception. Initially they said there was no problem. Only when we insisted did we get someone to come and see. The staff member showed us the ‘special way’ to lock our door. They completely ignored that the door would not lock by itself like every other hotel I have ever stayed in. The third day, we found that the cleaning staff left our room unlocked…again. This time we decided to leave notes for them, they were able to lock the door after that.
