The location is excellent — just across from Ximending, right next to the metro elevator, and directly opposite a bus stop, which makes getting around very convenient. However, there are some downsides. The reception is located on Level 13, and the hotel does not provide a luggage trolley. This made things quite difficult, especially since we had multiple heavy suitcases after shopping. Guests have to carry their luggage up and down themselves, and when I asked if I could borrow a trolley, I was told there wasn’t one available. No assistance was offered either, which was challenging as I was travelling with my elderly mother. We previously stayed at another three-star hotel that did provide a trolley, which made a big difference. This is something to consider if you are travelling with family, young children, or elderly companions. Personally, I would prefer to pay a bit more to stay at a nearby hotel where the reception is on the ground floor and luggage assistance is available. I also found the staff member on the afternoon shift to be unfriendly and not very helpful, as he seemed to be in a bad mood most of the time.

This is my third time at the hotel and as always I had a very pleasant stay. The hotel is located right across the street from Ximenting西门町 and within walking distance from Taipei train station. A 7 Eleven store is next door to the hotel entrance. The room is very clean. The morning breakfast buffet is bountiful and delicious.

TLDR: Green World Zhonghua in Taipei offers prime location near Ximen MRT but shows clear inconsistencies between its renovated lower floors and older upper levels. Prior to booking, I spent hours doing research (Facebook, YouTube, and online reviews). Unfortunately, I wasn't aware that the reviews were ONLY focused on the newer floors; and the stock photos for the older floors were probably taken a long time ago! Room Quality: The original 12th-floor room displayed aging elements such as scuffed white walls, older gray curtains, and seems like moldy bathroom. Bathroom tiles appeared clean but dated with minor wear around edges. Post-upgrade on the 2nd floor, rooms align better with various positive YouTube reviews featuring sleeker designs and city views. ​ Common Areas: Hallways on upper floors highlights dirty beige carpet and dim lighting from few fixture. Laundry facilities suffer from ceiling water damage and stains. ​​ Internet connectivity: Unreliable throughout the stay, with frequent dropouts and weak signals even on the upgraded 2nd floor. Streaming services would suffer from constant buffering. Breakfast: Not great - opted to skip the hotel breakfast on most days. Again, the YouTube videos for breakfast looked great! Staff and Upgrades: Despite the condition of the building and the old floors, the staff were friendly and especially helpful to get me an upgrade to the 2nd floor (much better)!

Self kiosk check in was a little confusing and different from what was done at other Green World hotels, which took some extra time to sort out. The building layout was confusing to navigate and a little outdated. The room was very spacious and similar to the photos online. The washroom was a little dated with uneven bathtub/shower floor tiles and grime along the edges/corners. The location was convenient to Ximending and other shopping places.

No me dieron el cuarto que yo seleccione, me dieron uno peor, el piso estaba sucio al igual que el baño, las paredes todas manchadas tanto las del cuarto como las de los pasillos. Valijas por todos lados de los huéspedes antes del check in o después, muy mal aspecto provocó a mi llegada al hotel, el aspecto descuidado del hotel no me agradó, lo único bueno fue el desayuno y la localización, pero como pagué poco no tuve como reclamar, pero no fue muy buena experiencia, sinceramente no volvería.
