Stayed at the W for two nights in a standard room with a darling harbour view. Room was nice and clean with a funky styling and modern tech. Bath was a highlight of the stay. Breakfast included and was very good. Visited the 29/30 rooftop bar for a drink one evening. Nice area but mostly the favoured the city where we sat. Convenient location for darling harbour and public transport a short walk away. Would recommend and stay there again.

The merchant fee of $33 is ludicrous considering how there was no other option but to pay via card. Being turned away from the hotel bar, that was full of people when all I requested was a beer because it was closing time. The $36 burger plus the $6 room service fee, was the tiniest, most disappointing burger I've consumed being not much more than the size of a child's burger at room temperature. Being told by staff that level 30 was not open yet, but that its invite only so I wouldn't be able to go even if it was. With a price point of nearly $600 per night for a lead in room, I must say I did expect better.
