If you appreciate a step back in time then this beautifully restored hotel is for you. Dinner in the Grand Dinning Room is a treat and how nice is it to be served as madam and sir. Afterwards, coffee beside a fire in the drawing room.

Hotel is just old and looks like they tried hard to maintain but the room is quite dated. The shower leaks and the floor squeaks. And the elevator is so old and slow that we decide to carry our luggages up second floor. Very old hotel in a sleepy town. And they don’t serve dinner on Sunday nor Monday.

This grand old hotel has been restored to fairly modern standards while maintaining the unique, interesting and historical style of early 20th century society. It was a great privilege to stay here and I will gladly visit again if circumstances allow.

Visiting the Carrington was a trip back in time. A beautifully appointed hotel, attentive service, and scrupulously clean. We had a non ensuite room but the individual locked “bathrooms” in a shared facility were fine. The hotel bar and lounge area was a great place to relax after a day of local exploration. We will be back.
