Staff were friendly at the counter. Main entrance door at front of hotel was not opening/closing properly for duration of stay. Cleaners blocked hallways with trolleys and rubbish, despite there being ample room to put these in the hallways without blocking. My 1yo son was black all down his front from crawling on the carpet for 5 minutes. Curtains were falling apart, with my son finding some small pieces that had fallen off, which could have presented a choking hazard. The air conditioning wouldn't turn on when we arrived, or when we returned from going out for the day. Lengthy wait for a technician to fix while we sweltered with our 1yo. Technician advised that it was due to the settings on the air con panel for the next room (how stupid is that?). On advising of the issues to reception on check out, reception staff took no persuading to offer free parking, free breakfast and a decent discount on our next stay, but to be honest we'll probably just go to Peppers next time.
