Shuttle disappointing, stained handbasin

They have their own shuttle which is the only reason I booked them. It finishes its runs before the last flights land at night, and the morning driver departed over 10 minutes behind schedule despite everyone being on board on time. So really, almost as terrible as the share shuttle that the other hotels use. The room was OK however every surface is covered by clutter and the handbasin was badly stained - or is that some trendy distressed effect? Not expecting to do this again.

Have stayed at other Moxys before and had great experience. Unfortunately not with this one. It’s a great hotel layout and all the lobby amenities and rooms are what you’d expect, but the entire reason for staying near an airport is to take advantage of things that most hotels don’t offer. The fact that the hotel shuttle was fully booked was something that feels like a gross oversight. A small sprinter to get a hotels-worth amount of people to the airport just doesn’t cut it. Since we booked on Expedia we didn’t catch that it much be booked 48hrs in advance to “avoid disappointment”. Also by the time we arrived late the kitchen/bar had completely closed, which for an airport-centric hotel also just feels also quite frustrating. The whole idea of booking this hotel was ease and convenience and this just wasn’t.

Great welcoming energy and atmosphere. Very efficient check in and out. Delicious food. Room was cute, comfortable, contemporary and well equipped. Free, on time airport shuttle was a plus. A very pleasing overnight experience close to the airport, much better than average.

They claim to have free shuttles to and from the airport. They do not. Be prepared to spend $50 on Ubers getting back and forth. And they could not have cared less!

I’ve stayed here a number of times - always good. Great staff and good food an beverages. The shuttle service is a must as approaching the location by private car can be confusing. I will always choose Moxy as my Sydney hub for the immediate future.

The hotel reception with the bar nice, continental breakfast is a +. The problem.. room too small compared to regular hotel. The sink is outside the bathroom. No cabinets to put our clothes. Too small that we can’t even open our luggage in the floor.. we have to put it on the bed. Our hotel pick was late.. waited for one hour

This property is a fun hotel about a 12 minute walk to the domestic terminal at Sydney, and a 20 minute walk from Mascot train station. Soundproofing is well done, there is not a lot of airplane noise. They have an amazing breakfast buffet, and games and a library in the lobby. Luggage storage is available, a great benefit. The only drawback is limited shuttles to the train station and airport, and the shuttle must be booked in advance. If you arrive late or early, or if your plane is delayed as ours was, you will have to walk.

Certainly not your average stuffy hotel. It is funky and lively with friendly staff. The restaurant offers a variety of food at reasonable prices. The rooms are on the small side but adequate for an overnight stay. Great free shuttle service to and from Sydney airports
