3rd or 4th time staying here, and we love it. Staff are lovely, room is basic but clean, and the location is fantastic. Lots of quirky little sitting rooms for guests to enjoy. We didn’t have breakfast as we were going out for lunch both days we were there - but it smelled beautiful! We will definitely be coming back.

Perfect location a few meters from the station. Still we didn’t have trouble with noise. Now renovated rooms. The rest of the building is a historic guesthouse with library etc. We enjoyed that. Charming. Value for money.

Our stay here was wonderful! It’s definitely a more historic place so don’t expect a modern building or room but it’s was charming and perfect! The staff was wonderful and very friendly. I felt very immersed in the culture and it was perfect walking distance to dinner and shops.

It was by far the most charming place we've ever stayed in. AND just across the street from the train station (noise not a problem) so very convenient with luggage. Their breakfast buffet (not included but very reasonably priced) was good and plentiful. Around the corner from bus stops, with many local eateries within a couple blocks. Had a game room with pool table, library, bar, just can't say enough nice things about it.

There was much more interest in the group that was staying there. The couple issues that I found unacceptable was locking the front door Sunday evening at 5pm when I was told that the door wasn’t locked until 7pm and my room wasn’t cleaned and garbage wasn’t emptied on Sunday. It appeared to me that the group was most important and the staff relaxed after their Sunday exit. If you’re a solo, don’t expect much effort.

The highlight was the lovely manager/host who was so welcoming, personal and kind. Hotel had lots to offer and bar was reasonable prices. Room was clean and bed very comfortable. I did need ear plugs for the trains which are common for katoomba
